Safeguarding

The Fen Tigers operates under the auspices of the Ely Diocesan Association of Church Bellringers, and adheres to its safeguarding policy.

In addition:

All children must have a Membership and Consent form completed by parents or guardians giving consent to ring, to travel to events and to be taught ringing at these events, and to state whether consent is given for photos on this website and social media. These forms are held securely. Regular events at St Clement's Teaching Centre in Cambridge have an additional Permission form which must be completed and is held securely by the Manager of that Centre.

Organisers and leaders make best efforts to ensure ahead of each meeting that we have the correct ratio of DBS-checked adults to children attending the meeting:

Leaders follow the CofE Guidelines on Safeguarding training and have at least Basic and Foundation training certificates, and usually Leadership.

The Fen Tigers has a standard Risk Assessment which is used for practices and routine events and will be reviewed and if necessary revised for special events.

The Fen Tigers has a Facebook page which is private. Occasionally WhatsApp groups are created to keep parents informed of travel arrangements, eg for Outings or for RWNYC events.
